Our staff carry the day-to-day work of keeping every home safe, steady and welcoming.
Our decision to enter the sober living ministry is deeply personal. Through our own family experiences with recovery, addiction, and reentry, we have witnessed both the challenges of rebuilding a life and the transformative power of grace, accountability, community, and a second chance.
Those experiences shaped our conviction that individuals returning from treatment, incarceration, or other difficult seasons of life deserve more than simply a place to stay. They deserve a safe, structured, substance-free environment where they can regain stability, rediscover their purpose, and rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
As Christians, we see this work as both a calling and a responsibility, an opportunity to serve others in a way that reflects the love, compassion, and example of Jesus Christ.

Sonshine Housing Solutions exists in that spirit: to extend Christ-centered compassion, encouragement, accountability, and hope to individuals who are pursuing a new beginning.
Our Directors, Michael and Karen Petty, lead the day-to-day operations of Sonshine Housing Solutions throughout the Atlanta Metro Area. They oversee resident placements and intake, house expectations, and relationships with treatment programs, case managers, churches, and community partners.
Our goal is simple but important: to provide every resident with a safe, supportive, substance-free place where they can rebuild their life with dignity, accountability, purpose, and hope.
At Sonshine Housing Solutions, we believe a person’s past does not have to define their future. With the right environment, meaningful support, personal accountability, and God’s grace, brighter days are ahead.
